Loire Valley - Holiday Accommodation in France

We've just returned from our second holiday in consecutive years at this fabulous place. Having spent many years visiting Gites in France we've become accustomed to taking essentials with us - but here is a holiday home equipped with (in addition to the dishwasher and microwave)a kettle,a full size steam iron and ironing board and even a hairdryer - our packing is halved!
The real attraction though is the beautiful, tranquil setting where you can escape the hustle and bustle of life whilst still being not too far from excellent restaurants, a friendly village bar and of course the boulangerie.
Best of all is the genuine warmth of the welcome from Ray and Wendy - they are friendly, courteous and helpful yet utterly respectful of their guests' privacy. They are always there when needed but never intrude.
We will certainly visit again and if you choose to you will not regret your decision(just make sure there is stil space for us!!)

Eleven club members, from Kent & Surrey Areas, stayed with Ray & Wendy for our 2010 Loire Valley / Le Mans Classic Tour between 5/16 July 2010.

The big problem every time we stay with Ray & Wendy is that no one wants to leave.

I feel very guilty not to have posted a message here sooner.

My wife Carol and I spent the most wonderful, relaxing 10 days at Le Haut Courtigne in Sept 09. We've been to many many Gites over the years and this was without a doubt the best equipped and finished of them all.

Ray and Wendy were splendid hosts, there when you needed them, and quite absent when you wanted your own private space.

We can't praised Le Haut Courtigne highly enough, and I'm happy to talk to anyone with a personal recommendation of the place.

We had a wonderful week in August. The cottage was great and relaxing in the hot tub fantastic. Ray and Wendy were the best possible hosts, extremely friendly and helpful. I'm sure we'll be back.

What a fantastic place. Laying in the Hot Tub was great, but even better when Ray turned up with some beer. What a host! Ray and Wendy really did an amazing Job and we have already been back. See you next time guys! Darren & Dion.

We had a superb couple of weeks staying in La Noix. The gite is spacious and comfortable but what really makes it is Ray and Wendy. We feel like part of their family now!
